Kathmandu, May 20 -- Thailand beat Nepal by 78 runs in the final match of the Super-Three stage of the ICC Women's T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier.

In the match held at Terdthai ground in Thailand on Tuesday, Nepal had to score 159 runs to win. However, Nepal could only hit 80 runs for a loss of 9 wickets in the 20 allotted overs.

The top three scorers in Nepal's innings were Kabita Kunwar (24 runs), Rajmati Airee (20 runs) and Rubina Kshetri (12 runs). No other batter entered double figures.

Onnicha Kamchomphu claimed four wickets for Thailand. Similarly, Thipatcha Putthawong took three wickets, while Suleeporn Laomi secured one wicket.
