Kathmandu, Jan. 31 -- A five-wicket haul by Subash Bhandari went in vain as Nepal lost to Bangladesh by five wickets in the ICC Under-19 World Cup on Wednesday.

Bangladesh chased down the 170-run target in 25.2 overs in a Super Six match played at Bloemfontein, South Africa.

Ariful Islam top-scored for Bangladesh hitting not out 59 runs off 38 deliveries as Jishan Alam made 55 runs off 43 deliveries, muscling six hits to the fence and two sixes. Ashiqur Rahman Shibli and Ahrar Amin made 16 and 12 runs respectively.

Earlier Nepal that won the toss and elected to bat first posted a 170-run target against Bangladesh.
