Kathmandu, Oct. 26 -- Nepal have been given a target of 263 runs by the United States in their opening match of the ICC World Cup League 2 tri-series featuring Nepal, the USA, and the UAE.
After Nepal won the toss and opted to field first at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, the United States scored 262 for six in the allotted 50 overs.
For the USA, Smit Patel led the innings with a fine 75 off 100 balls, striking nine boundaries before being run out.
Nepal's bowlers put in a disciplined effort, with Sandeep Lamichhane taking two wickets, while Sompal Kami, Arif Sheikh, and Dipendra Singh Airee claimed one wicket each.
