Kathmandu, Oct. 18 -- Friday, at Chonburi Stadium in Thailand, was a day to forget for Nepal. The reason: the Nepali team conceded a dozen goals against the hosts at the AFC U17 Women's Asian Cup Qualifiers' group stage. To make it worse, Nepal did not get a single consolation goal, and got knocked out of the Qualifier.
Nepal had to face two opponents in the group stage, facing one another in a single round-robin format. Nepal faced Turkmenistan first, on October 15, and played a goalless draw in the match affected by rain.
