Kathmandu, Oct. 8 -- Nepal registered a five-wicket victory over Malaysia in the fifth and final Twenty20 International on Wednesday, clinching the five-match series 3-2 and securing back-to-back T20I series wins against the same opponent.

Having levelled the series 2-2 with a six-wicket win in the fourth match, Nepal carried the momentum into the decider to once again outplay Malaysia-mirroring their 3-2 win during the 2023 tour in Kuala Lumpur.

Opting to bat first after winning the toss, Malaysia managed 103 for 7 in their allotted 20 overs. Captain Winifred Duraisingam top-scored with 40 runs off 46 balls, while Mahirah Izzati Ismail contributed 19 and Aina Hamizah Hasim added 15.
