Kathmandu, Feb. 17 -- Nepal defeated Scotland by seven wickets with four balls to spare in their final Group C match of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai, on Tuesday.
The victory marked Nepal's first T20 World Cup triumph since their debut in 2014 in Bangladesh, where they beat Hong Kong and Afghanistan. Nepal had lost six consecutive matches in the competition after that campaign.
Chasing 171, Nepal reached the target at the loss of three wickets in 19.2 overs to seal a consolation win.
Earlier, Scotland posted 170 for 7 from their 20 overs after being asked to bat first.
