Kathmandu, Jan. 25 -- Education Minister Giriraj Mani Pokharel has urged fasting Dr Govinda KC to help in implementing the National Medical Education Bill that was endorsed by the lower House on Friday.

Speaking to mediapersons following the endorsement of the Medical Education Bill amidst protest from the Nepali Congress, he said the bill is the cornerstone for the reforms in country's medical sector.

Saying that the Bill was endorsed as per the agreement signed with KC during his 15th hunger strike, he thanked KC as well.

"The Bill will not allow establishing new medical colleges in the Kathmandu Valley for the next 10 years and it will make the medical education non-profitable and service-oriented," he said, highlighting the positiv...
