Kathmandu, March 19 -- The mascot and logo for the 10th National Games were revealed on Tuesday with the country's biggest sporting event all set to take place on the amended date.

Minister for Youth and Sports Teju Lal Chaudhary and National Sports Council vice-chairman Dhruba Acharya made public the mascot and logo, respectively, at the ANFA Complex in Satdobato, Lalitpur.

While the mascot and logo were revealed in Kathmandu, they were prepared by the Karnali Sports Development Council (KSDC), the hosts.

Bikash Tamakhu had designed the mascot, a red panda, and the logo, according to KSDC.

"We have a red panda, one of the endangered wildlife species found in Karnali, as the mascot," read a statement by KSDC.
