Kathmandu, Feb. 11 -- Police have brought Prakash Pathak to Kathmandu after he was arrested in the Philippines on charges of threatening senior officials, including Chief Commissioner of the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) Prem Kumar Rai.

Pathak, against whom an Interpol diffusion notice had been issued, was arrested in Malolos in the first week of January by the Bureau of Immigration Fugitive Search Unit. "After completing legal procedures, he was brought to Kathmandu on Wednesday for investigation," said Deputy Inspector General Abi Narayan Kafle, spokesperson for the police. "Further investigation will be carried out by the Kathmandu District Police Range."
