Janakpur, April 17 -- Chief Minister Satish Kumar Singh has ordered the closure of 11 private hospitals in Barahathawa, Sarlahi, citing non-compliance with legal and medical standards.

The hospitals were sealed following an inspection on Wednesday evening citing lack of operating permits and infrastructure, staffing, or equipment as per the set criteria. Singh instructed the officials to shut them down immediately, chief minister's press adviser Anil Kumar Karna said.
