Janakpur, Dec. 18 -- Madhesh Province Chief Minister Krishna Prasad Yadav is all set to seek a vote of confidence in the provincial assembly at 4pm on Friday.
Yadav had written to the assembly secretariat on Wednesday, requesting the meeting for the vote.
Yadav was appointed chief minister on December 4 under Article 168(2) of the constitution, backed by 77 lawmakers from seven parties.
Under the constitutional provision, a chief minister must seek a vote of confidence within 30 days of appointment. Yadav is taking the vote 15 days after assuming office.
