Parsa, Sept. 22 -- After nearly a decade of delay, reconstruction of a warehouse at the Food Management and Trading Company Limited's Birgunj branch has finally resumed.

According to Branch Chief Pankaj Kumar Jha, the company's central office awarded a new contract this year to complete the remaining work on the 488.125-square-metre facility. Bhagawati Radhemai Construction Service, Birgunj, won the contract for Rs8.17 million (including VAT).

The warehouse, designed to store 1,000 metric tons of food grains, was abandoned midway by the previous contractor, leaving only the walls completed.
