Kathmandu, June 12 -- Two young men lost their lives in separate lightning strikes this week, as severe weather continues to affect various parts of the country.
In Kailali district, 26-year-old Upendra Bahadur Shahi died on Thursday after being struck by lightning while walking through a field in Gauriganga Municipality-2, Jhila. According to the Area Police Office, Malakheti, the incident occurred at around 11:50 am, and Shahi died on the spot. No other injuries were reported.
Similarly, in Makwanpur district, 22-year-old Kanchha Gole died on Wednesday evening after being struck by lightning during a thunderstorm in Kitbhanjyang, Kailash Rural Municipality-9. He was sitting in the yard of his house when the lightning struck, killing h...
