Dharan, March 27 -- The construction of a bridge over the Leduwa stream at Devigaun in ward 5 of Dharan Sub-Metropolitan City has been left incomplete for four years, causing hardship for locals.
Originally scheduled for completion by July 2021, only 64 percent of the work has been completed so far. The bridge is crucial for connecting wards 4 and 5, yet residents continue to struggle, especially during monsoons.
Children must cross the river to attend school and locals even risk their lives using bamboo rafts to transport the sick. The lack of the bridge has severely impacted agricultural trade as well.
