Kathmandu, Sept. 30 -- President Ramchandra Paudel and senior party leaders from major political parties have called for timely election within the framework of the constitution.
Following a bloody Gen Z uprising earlier this month, the KP Oli-led government was ousted, parliament dissolved, and a new government under Sushila Karki was formed with a mandate to hold parliamentary elections on March 5, 2026.
In their Dashain messages, President Ramchandra Paudel, Prime Minister Karki, Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba, and Speaker Devraj Ghimire, among others, have emphasised the need for timely elections and the continuity of the political system after the elections.
