Hetauda, June 24 -- A key section of the Tribhuvan Highway will be closed to vehicular traffic for four hours on Friday and Saturday this week to facilitate urgent maintenance work, officials confirmed.

According to the Road Division Office in Hetauda, the Lamidanda-Simbhanjyang stretch will be shut between 12:00 pm and 4:00 pm on both days. The temporary closure is required to carry out road repairs and to install hume pipes at Ranibhanjyang bend-a narrow and strategically important point along the route.
