Kathmandu, Feb. 26 -- The meeting of the Parliamentary Hearing Committee could not take place on Tuesday as well due to the lack of quorum. The meeting summoned for 2 pm was put off after the leaders did not show up at the meeting till 3 pm.

Nepal Communist Party (NCP) leaders Surendra Pandey, Shiva Kumar Mandal and Suman Raj Pyakurel did not attend the meeting despite the party's whip to all its lawmakers to compulsorily attend the meeting.

There are nine lawmakers of Nepal Communist Party in the Parliamentary Hearing Committee. At least eight lawmakers should be present to operate the meeting. But only seven lawmakers including the Chairman were present at the Tuesday's meeting.
