Kathmandu, March 26 -- Kulman Ghising, the immediate past managing director of the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA), has filed a writ petition in the Supreme Court, claiming that his removal from the post was unlawful.
According to Nirajan Pandey, an information officer at the Supreme Court, Ghising's petition was submitted on Wednesday evening around 5 pm. "The petition has been presented and is currently under review. After the review, it will proceed to the registration process on Thursday," Pandey confirmed.
As the petition had not been registered by Wednesday, the case will not be heard on Thursday, as hearings must be scheduled a day in advance, officials said.
