Kathmandu, Dec. 22 -- The District Administration Office, Kathmandu, said on Monday it had denied permission to a Gen Z group led by Miraj Dhungana to stage a protest, citing procedural requirements.
Assistant Chief District Officer and information officer Muktiram Rijal said the group approached the administration at around 10 am on the day of the planned protest, seeking approval.
"They came today seeking permission for today's protest. There is a set procedure for granting protest permission, and approval is not given immediately on request," Rijal said.
