Kathmandu, Feb. 10 -- The government has once again extended the tenure of the investigation commission formed to probe the incidents of September 8 and 9.

Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal, spokesperson of the government, said the Cabinet meeting held on Monday decided to grant the commission an additional 25 days to complete its work.

Making public the Cabinet's decision, Aryal said the extension was approved in line with the Cabinet decision of September 21, 2025, under which the commission was formed to investigate the actual physical and human losses during the September 8-9 protests and submit a report.
