Butwal, June 27 -- The Janata Samajbadi Party-Nepal (JSP-Nepal), led by Upendra Yadav, has withdrawn its support to the Lumbini provincial government headed by Chief Minister Chet Narayan Acharya of the CPN-UML.
Ambika Kafle, the parliamentary party leader of JSP-Nepal in Lumbini, submitted a letter to the Provincial Assembly on Friday, formally announcing the party's decision in line with Article 188(2) of the Constitution. The Assembly Secretariat confirmed that the letter has been registered.
JSP-Nepal has only one member in the 87-strong Lumbini Provincial Assembly.
UML's Acharya had assumed office with the backing of multiple parties, including Nepali Congress, Nagarik Unmukti Party, Janamat Party, and Loktantrik Samajbadi Party....
