Nepal, Jan. 23 -- The Embassy of Japan, in association with the Japan Foundation, is organising the Japanese Film Festival in Kathmandu and Pokhara. The festival will be held at Rastriya Nachghar, Jamal, from January 23 to 24, and at the Pokhara Chamber of Commerce & Industry from February 13 to 14, 2026.
The festival also marks 70 years of friendship between Nepal and Japan.
The movies, subtitled in English, range from fantasy anime to tales about family dynamics, while focusing on social themes that recur in everyday life.
