Kathmandu, Jan. 3 -- The inquiry commission probing the use of force and incidents of violence during the Gen Z protests in September has sent letters to Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba and Nepali Communist Party coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal.

A commission member said the letters seek explanations regarding the events that took place over the two days and have already been received by the leaders.

They have been asked to appear before the commission to record their statements or submit written responses if appearing in person is not possible. The commission has also sent a set of questions along with the letters.
