Kathmandu, Dec. 23 -- The inquiry commission investigating the violent incidents of September 8-9 has issued a letter summoning former home minister Ramesh Lekhak to record his statement, asking him to be present within seven days.
Bigyan Raj Sharma, commission spokesperson, said the letter was dispatched to Lekhak on Tuesday.
The commission has begun calling political leaders after completing the interrogation of officials who held administrative and security responsibilities during the movement.
The commission said it has also prepared to send a summons to former prime minister and UML chair KP Sharma Oli.
