Kathmandu, Oct. 7 -- Nepal Captain Indu Barma has become the first Nepali woman cricketer to score 1,000 runs in Twenty20 Internationals. She achieved the milestone after scoring 15 runs in the fourth T20I against Malaysia on Tuesday. She remained unbeaten at 48 runs.
Indu reached the mark in her 77th T20I appearance. She has one half-century to her name-an unbeaten 55 against Qatar in Doha in 2021. So far, she has hit 73 fours and three sixes in her T20I career.
With this feat, Indu now tops Nepal's all-time run chart in women's T20Is. Previously, Sita Rana Magar led with 965 runs in 62 matches, followed by Rubina Chhetry with 916 in 78 games. Sita has not been included in Nepal's playing XI in the last two matches.
