KANCHANPUR, March 24 -- Indian authorities have obstructed the construction of roads at Bramadev in Bhimdutta Municipality-9, Kanchanpur, stating that the infrastructure was constructed by encroaching on the no-man's-land.

Personnel from the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) directed the workers

to stop the construction works on Friday. The road is under construction from Bramadev to Tanakpur Barrage along the Nepal-India border.

"The SSB personnel came and asked us to stop the work while we were leveling the road by using a dozer.

They argued that no infrastructures could be built there as it was the no-man's-land," said Bhim Joshi, the contractor of the road project.
