Kathmandu, May 11 -- India has handed over 15 electric vehicles to Nepal to support the first edition of the Sagarmatha Sambad, which is scheduled for May 16 to 18 in Kathmandu.

During a ceremony held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Sunday, Indian Ambassador to Nepal Naveen Srivastava handed over the vehicles to Foreign Minister Arzu Rana Deuba. The vehicles were provided under the Nepal-India cooperation programme.

Thanking the Indian government, Minister Rana said the support would contribute to the success of the Sagarmatha Sambad. She highlighted climate change as a shared challenge for the entire region and stressed the need for collective efforts and regional coordination to address it.
