Kathmandu, Jan. 29 -- India on Thursday gifted the second tranche of election-related assistance to Nepal, as part of support requested by the Government of Nepal for preparations for the upcoming elections.

The assistance was formally handed over at a ceremony held at the Ministry of Finance in Kathmandu on January 29, in the presence of Finance Minister Rameshore Prasad Khanal. Rakesh Pandey, charge d'affaires a.i. of the Embassy of India, ceremonially handed over more than 250 vehicles to Nepal.
