Kathmandu, June 14 -- India has presented 40 ambulances to various health institutions in Nepal, aiming to bolster the country's healthcare infrastructure.

The handover ceremonies took place simultaneously in Kathmandu, Birgunj, Pokhara, and Dharan, with representatives from the Indian Embassy and Consulate General overseeing the events.

In Kathmandu, the keys to the vehicles were handed over by Prasanna Shrivastava, deputy chief of mission at the Indian Embassy.

Mayors and chairpersons from municipalities and rural municipalities across Bagmati, Karnali, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces, along with representatives from beneficiary organisations, political figures, and social workers, attended the ceremony.
