Kathmandu, Oct. 22 -- The Indian government has donated 81 school buses to educational institutions across 48 districts in Nepal, including disaster-affected districts of Ilam, Jhapa, and Udayapur in Koshi Province.

The donation also covers remote districts such as Humla, Mustang, Sankhuwasabha, Darchula, Baitadi, and Achham.

This initiative highlights the long-standing development partnership and friendship between India and Nepal, the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu said on Wednesday.

Over the past 30 years, India has provided a total of 381 school buses to institutions across the country.
