Kathmandu, June 17 -- The House of Representatives meeting was adjourned on Tuesday, until 11 am on Thursday, as lawmakers from the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) and Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) continued their obstruction, demanding an independent investigation into alleged irregularities in the 'visit visa' scam.

Speaker Devraj Ghimire issued a notice postponing the session after RSP lawmakers again surrounded the rostrum in protest. The parliamentary secretariat said the adjournment was intended to allow time for political parties to reach a consensus on resolving the ongoing deadlock.
