Kathmandu, May 28 -- The House of Representatives meeting scheduled for Wednesday has been postponed until 1:30 pm on Thursday, following continuous obstruction by opposition lawmakers demanding the resignation of Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak.
The meeting, which was due to begin at 11 am, could not proceed after opposition parties-including the CPN (Maoist Centre) and Rastriya Swatantra Party-blocked proceedings over Lekhak's alleged involvement in the 'visit visa scam'. The sitting was formally adjourned through a notice posted in Parliament.
This marks the second consecutive day of disruption, with Tuesday's meeting also adjourned without entering the regular agenda due to similar protests.
