Kathmandu, June 8 -- The meeting of the House of Representatives was adjourned on Sunday evening and rescheduled for 2 pm on Monday, as the ongoing parliamentary deadlock over the visit visa scandal showed no signs of ending.
Sunday's session, which had already been delayed multiple times, finally began at 6:30 pm. However, as soon as Speaker Dev Raj Ghimire opened the session, lawmakers from opposition parties, along with some from the ruling alliance, stood up in protest.
Despite repeated calls from the Speaker urging lawmakers to take their seats and allow the House to function, protests continued, forcing the Speaker to postpone the meeting until Monday, June 10.
