Kathmandu, April 2 -- The State Affairs and Good Governance Committee of the House of Representatives has summoned Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak to discuss the recent pro-monarchy protests in Kathmandu. He has been called to the committee meeting at 11 am on Friday.
Ramhari Khatiwada, the committee's chair, said the decision was made to seek answers from the home minister regarding the violent incidents on March 28, when protesters engaged in vandalism, arson, and looting in areas including Tinkune, Koteshwar, and Jadibuti.
Also, a video journalist Suresh Rajak and Sabin Maharjan, a resident from Kirtipur, lost their lives during the protest.
