Kathmandu, Aug. 13 -- Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak has said a committee has been formed to investigate the August 8 clash at Kailali Prison.

Speaking at a meeting of the Law, Justice and Human Rights Committee in Singha Durbar on Wednesday, he said the panel, led by the assistant chief district officer, will submit its report within the deadline, and legal action will be taken against those found guilty.

One inmate was killed and 48 others were injured in the late-night clash. Of them, three referred by the hospital were brought to Kathmandu-two are undergoing treatment at the Trauma Centre and one at the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital.
