Kathmandu, April 18 -- The National Examination Board (NEB) has confirmed that the Grade 12 examinations will be held as scheduled, starting April 24, despite rising concerns due to the prolonged teachers' protest.

The board had published the exam timetable earlier, but uncertainty had grown over whether the exams would proceed.

In a statement released on Friday, the Board clarified that the examinations would not be postponed and urged students not to believe misleading information being circulated on social media.

"The board's serious attention has been drawn to false information suggesting the postponement of the Grade 12 annual examinations scheduled to begin on April 24," read the statement.
