Kathmandu, Jan. 2 -- The government on Friday signed a six-point agreement with Dr Kamal Bhusal alias Nicholas Bhusal, and Harish Bista, who were on an indefinite hunger strike. Following the deal, the duo ended their 11-day protest.
The agreement was signed by prime minister's chief adviser Ajaya Bhadra Khanal on behalf of the government, and the two protesters. Prime Minister Sushila Karki then offered juice to the duo at Baluwatar to break their fast.
Under the deal, the government will initiate action against those responsible for tragic incidents during the September Gen Z movement within 15 days of receiving a report of the probe commission led by former judge Gauri Bahadur Karki.
