Kathmandu, Oct. 21 -- The government has disbursed Rs4.8 million to cover immediate expenses for individuals injured during the Gen Z movement. The amount was disbursed to provide Rs20,000 per injured based on a preliminary report by the Ministry of Health and Population, the prime minister's secretariat said on Tuesday.
The first tranche has reached Jhapa, Morang, Sunsari, Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Kaski, Surkhet, Kailali, and Dadeldhura, according to the Home Ministry.
The Cabinet, on September 28, had approved immediate support until a technical committee could classify victims and arrange appropriate relief. So far, the Health Ministry has submitted records of 2,429 injured individuals. Identification cards were also issued for those inj...
