Kathmandu, March 27 -- Around two weeks after the government's decision to ban the activities of the Netra Bikram Chand-led Communist Party of Nepal, Nepal Bar Association, an umbrella body of lawyers, has termed the ban unconstitutional.

It has claimed that the decision of the government to stop activities of a political party is against the spirit of the Article 270 of the Constitution of Nepal, which says no restriction can be imposed in the formation and operation of political parties.
