Kathmandu, April 26 -- The Ministry of Education and representatives of the Nepal Teachers' Federation have agreed to resolve the ongoing teachers' agitation through dialogue and negotiation.

During a meeting held at the ministry on Saturday morning, Education Minister Raghuji Pant, the ministry's Secretary Deepak Kafle, Federation chair Laxmikishor Subedi, vice-chair and agitation coordinator Nanumaya Parajuli, and General Secretary Tul Bahadur Thapa discussed the teachers' demands.

After the meeting, Federation chair Subedi said they had clearly communicated their position to the government. "We presented our stance firmly to the ministry. The primary goal of our movement is to ensure the promulgation of a progressive School Education...
