Kathmandu, April 4 -- Gham Power, in collaboration with Practical Action and Swanbarton, has been awarded a project by the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO) to install one of Nepal's largest energy storage systems, with a total battery capacity of 4MWh. The company announced that this initiative aims to help industries and businesses reduce diesel consumption and transition toward decarbonisation through smart grid development. UNIDO Director-General Gerd Muller launched the project in the presence of ambassadors from five countries where similar pioneering projects will be implemented.
