Bara, Nov. 21 -- Gen Z representatives reached a six-point understanding with the District Security Committee on Friday, two days after supporters of the youth group and the CPN-UML clashed in Simara, Bara.

During the talks held at the Armed Police Force Technical School in Pathahiya, officials agreed to address all six demands raised by Gen Z youths. The understanding is verbal, and no document has been signed.

Gen Z representatives said they will resume protests on Tuesday if police fail to make visible progress by Monday.

During the talks, Gen Z leaders Sudan Gurung, Purushottam Yadav, Shiva Yadav, Samrat Upadhyaya and Kapil Kharel accused police of security lapses that allowed UML cadres to attack their members.
