Kathmandu, Oct. 7 -- It has been over a week since a series of posts began circulating on social media, claiming that another protest is set to take place on October 9. Many of these, mostly on TikTok, carry messages like "Gen Z, be ready, the next protest will be on October 9". These posts have fuelled speculation and confusion over a potential new wave of Gen Z-led protests.

The posts call for renewed protests, criticising the interim government for failing to ensure a directly elected prime minister. Others say the protests would mark the one-month anniversary of the September 8 demonstration and continue the fight for justice. Some posts are circulating with captions such as "Come, King, save the nation."
