Dolakha, Nov. 4 -- Four climbers, who were injured after being caught in an avalanche while ascending Yalung Ri in the Rolwaling mountain range of Dolakha district, were rescued on Tuesday.

According to Dolakha police Chief Gyan Kumar Mahato, they were airlifted from the mountain's base camp and are being taken to Kathmandu by Heli Everest.

Seven climbers-five foreigners and two Nepalis-were killed in the avalanche on Monday.

A total of 12 climbers-both Nepali and foreign-had set out for the Yalung Ri expedition. Heli Everest has been carrying out search and rescue operations since early Tuesday, led by Mingma Sherpa of Seven Summit Treks.
