Kathmandu, Jan. 1 -- Fonepay has introduced the Fonepay Credit Card, a fully digital credit card designed for seamless QR-based payments. The Fonepay Credit Card has now crossed over 20,000 users, according to the company. This milestone is notable in the context of Nepal's overall credit card market, where fewer than 320,000 physical credit cards are in circulation as of mid-2025.
Usage of the Fonepay Credit Card has been recorded across all 77 districts of Nepal, demonstrating its nationwide reach and acceptance, with Kathmandu emerging as the highest-transacting district, followed by Kaski, company statistics show.
