Makawanpur, Aug. 15 -- Five newly appointed ministers in the Bagmati Province government took the oath of office and secrecy on Friday, giving a full shape to the Chief Minister Indra Bahadur Baniya's Cabinet.

Province Head Deepak Prasad Devkota administered the oath at the ceremony at the provincial headquarters.

Baniya, who assumed office amid internal party tensions after successfully leading a no-confidence motion against former chief minister Bahadur Singh Lama, secured a vote of confidence in the provincial assembly on Tuesday.

He received support from both Nepali Congress and CPN-UML lawmakers, with 63 members voting in his favour, surpassing the 56 votes required for a majority in the 110-member assembly.
