Kathmandu, Feb. 21 -- The Nepali Embassy in Thailand, in cooperation with the Thai government, has rescued five Nepali nationals, including four men and one woman, who were involved in scam operations in Myanmar.
The individuals were returned to Nepal on Thursday, the embassy said. They were transported through the Tak border checkpoint in Thailand after being freed from Myanmar's Myawaddy region.
The embassy urged the public to adhere to government guidelines for foreign employment, emphasising the importance of obtaining proper labour permits. It also cautioned against falling for deceptive job offers in countries such as Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, and Thailand, where exploitation risks are high.
