Kathmandu, June 1 -- The first edition of the Indian Ambassador's Cricket Tournament kicked off at the Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground between six teams on Saturday.
The T20 tournament was inaugurated by Indian Ambassador to Nepal Naveen Srivastava, British Ambassador to Nepal Rob Fenn, and South Asia Division chief at Nepal's Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) Bhrigu Dhungana.
The six teams participating in the tournament are the Indian Embassy (host), the British Embassy, the Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ), MoFA, Corporate XI, and the Indian Diaspora.
The tournament, which will take place for four days, saw the Indian Embassy facing MoFA in the first game on Saturday. The Indian Embassy won it by nine wickets.
