Doti, Feb. 9 -- A fire destroyed a two-storey house in Jhiga settlement, K.I. Singh Rural Municipality-3, Doti, at around 9:30am on Sunday.

According to police, the fire broke out during cooking hours, engulfing both floors of Baji Bhul's stone-and-mud house. The blaze destroyed 10 sacks of paddy, clothes, carpentry tools, and utensils, causing an estimated loss of Rs250,000. No injuries were reported.

A six-member police team, led by Police Inspector Kulwir Bohara, worked with locals to douse the flames. Bhul's family is now sheltering at a neighbour's home. Local organisations are coordinating relief efforts.
