Kathmandu, Sept. 26 -- The Ministry of Finance has begun using the Government Integrated Office Management System (GIOMS) from Friday.
Finance Minister Rameshore Khanal launched the system by approving a file through GIOMS, marking its official launch in the ministry.
Developed by the Department of Information Technology under the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, the system is designed to simplify and speed up government work through a single digital platform, the finance ministry said.
According to the ministry, the GIOMS will be mandatory for registering and processing official documents, correspondence, attendance, leave approval, deputation, and record management, all with digital signatures.
